Provides services to help improve the behavioral health of children, adolescents, and families in Maine, including crisis services (in Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and Waldo counties); case management; and residential, community-based, and school-based services (generally available statewide). Head Start is a preschool program for three-, four-, and five-year-old children and their families. To be eligible, families must meet income guidelines. The areas of Education, Health, Nutrition, Social Services, and Parent Involvement are addressed through the program. There are Head Start sites in Acton, Berwick, Biddeford, Hollis, Lyman, North Berwick, Old Orchard Beach, Parsonsfield, Saco, and Sanford.
