Emerson, born in rural Liberty, New York, lives in Wilton, Maine, and has written over 20 historical and contemporary romances, historical mysteries, children's books, and non-fiction works of history.   • Face Down Below the Banqueting House (2005)
  • Fatal as a Fallen Woman (2005), 2nd in the Diana Spaulding series (excerpt here)
  • Face Down Beside St. Anne's Well (2006): Rosamund, Lady Appleton's 12-year-old foster daughter, is certain that her French tutor has been murdered. No Mortal Reason (2007), 3rd in the Diana Spaulding series, set in rural Lenape Springs, New York, in May 1888. (Excerpt here)
  • Kilt Dead (2007, written under pseudonym Kaitlyn Dunnett) is the first in a new series, set in the fictional town of Moosetookalook, Maine in the present day. Liss MacCrimmon is a professional Scottish dancer sidelined by a knee injury who returns to her home town and walks straight into a murder.
  • Face Down O'er the Border (2007): In 1577 Lady Appleton travels to Scotland to find her friend and solve a murder.
  • Lethal Legend (2008): 4th and last in the Diana Spaulding series. In 1888, Diana returns to Bangor for her long-awaited wedding, but cannot resist a murder investigation on Keep Island.
